Course Summary
This is one in a series of courses that focus on the
phases of The Requirements Discovery Process. This course
is intended to take the participant through a process
of discovering, describing and documenting your client’s
business objectives.
Establishing high quality objectives is essential to
the success of your project. If you don’t set specific,
measurable, achievable, results oriented and time-bounded
objectives, how will you ever determine the success of
your project? On the surface, setting project objectives
seems to be a straight-forward exercise - one that is
often taken for granted, overlooked or simply ignored.
Establishing high-quality objectives is an essential
component to the success of your project. If you do not
set specific, measurable, achievable, results-oriented
and time-bounded objectives, how will you know if your
project is successful? This course is intended to help
you do just this.

Reviews
Impressive
Quality Course Jan 1, 2003
Reviewer: from Louisville KT USA
This was a fantastic little
course on the subject. I honestly didn’t expect much for the money
– maybe some PowerPoint slides in web format. But I was impressed
by the quality of this e-learning. And that’s not even covering
the actual content - which was right-on. Some of it I’d heard before,
but this was laid out in a very practical way that made me realize
actually when and how to use this stuff. I would certainly recommend
this either for the intermediate analyst, someone new to the role,
or anyone who’s trying to put together a practical requirements
process.
Already
applying the process Sept 1, 2004
Reviewer: Colleen from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Montana
This is a really good
course process and I am applying the process already .
Real
World & Practical
Reviewer: Cindy from Data-Tronics
We all question how practical
these courses really are before hand but this is truly a real-world,
practical approach. It has helped us draw out requirements
from users who historically didn’t participate well during these
sessions.
Attention
to Detail
Reviewer: John from Michigan Department of Transportation
This is an excellent course.
I particularly like the way it pays attention to how to capture
the details of the user's business objectives.
